My dear friend, Karen, and I spent a weekend in the mountains...kind of a mini-quilting retreat.
Pictured above is one of the blocks (Friendship Star) of a quilting project I've been working on - - - forever! It is from the book 'At Piece With Time - A Woman's Journey Stitched In Cloth' by Kristin C. Steiner and Diane C. Frankenberger. Several years ago Kristin Steiner did a trunk show and class for our quilt guild. We learned her needle-turn applique technique.
The book is a journal journey from childhood to adulthood depicted in various blocks.

Karen was cutting and sewing all weekend. She used a set of fat quarters from the "Awesome" fabric collection.

She finished this Sudoko quilt...

...and got the blocks made for this log cabin quilt.
Beautiful work by my fabulous friend, Karen.
Thank you, God, for your abundant love.
