"Grow Your Blog" Give-Away Winner!

A little late on announcing the winner
of my "Grow Your Blog" Party Give-Away...

...So here we go!

I made this snowflake mini-journal
in memory of my mother who loved snowflakes.
She always contended some of her best friends were flakes!

The mini-journal is made from
one 12" x 12" piece of patterned scrapbook paper.

Two pieces of covered chipboard were added to make the front and back covers.

Because of how the 12" x 12" piece of paper is cut and folded
it creates a pocket for a tag on either the top or side of each page.

I then added bits of sparkle with rhinestones...
silver embossing powder...
Rock Candy Stickles...
silver trimmed ribbons...
and coordinating papers.

Here is a pic of each page and its tag ---

Then it was time for the drawing!
Finally!

So I printed all the comments and cut them apart ---

That's a lot of comments!
Thank you all who visited my blog and left a comment.  :)

Next I folded them and put them in the official drawing bowl---
(No random drawing selector here!)

And look whose name I pulled out!

Denise Bryant!

How ironic that the winner is another Denise - huh?

I appreciate each and every one of you and your kind comments.
They make me smile!  :)

Stay tuned for another give-away soon.  It's a surprise!

blessings, denise  :D

Cotton Candy Tea!

Oh, what to do...what to do!

I've been working all day on the little snowflake mini-journal
for the giveaway on a recent post for the "Grow Your Blog" Party.

I went to fix myself a nice cup of hot tea...
then realized I was out of sugar.

Oh, no!  What do I do?

Usually I just brown sugar when this happens,
but today I saw this bag of cotton candy on the kitchen counter.

I absolutely love cotton candy!
And you don't have to go to
the rodeo...
the circus...
or
and football game
to buy it!

They sale it at the store!
(Though not quite as yummy as the fresh cotton candy.)

So I added a bit to my hot tea -
then a bit more
until it was sweetened just right.  :}

Now the color was quite funky...
kind of a blue-greenish!

But it was delicious!

I liked my cotton candy tea so much
that I made myself another cup
and continued working on that
snowflake mini-journal.

Sweet blessings, my friends,
denise  :D
